GP Registrars

GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors who have had some experience of hospital medicine but wish to move into general practice. Dr Moor, Dr Baker and Dr Thandi are the GP Trainers, however all the doctors are involved in teaching and supervising trainees.

Nurse Practitioners

An Advanced Nurse Practitioner is a nurse who has undertaken further training and acquired the expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies for expanded practice to cover physical examination, diagnosis and treatment. They are able to prescribe most medication and they work together with and under the mentorship of a GP Partner

Practice nurses can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

The General Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The General Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
