Welcome to Leylands Medical Centre
Our aim is to provide high quality care for all our patients. As well as excellence in general primary care, we have expertise in a number of specialist clinical areas including musculoskeletal and sports medicine, rheumatology, sexual health, contraception & gynaecology, diabetes, minor surgery, cardiology, and ophthalmology. We provide this full range of services to over 19000 patients from three sites - Leylands Lane in Heaton, Heaton Medical Practice on Haworth Road and Wrose Health Centre in Wrose – you are welcome to use any site.
We are also proud to be a teaching practice helping to train the GP’s and nurses of tomorrow.
Due to High Infection rates in our area, please do not attend surgery for general queries or to book appointments, only attend surgery for pre-booked appointments. For appointments or general queries, please call 01274 770771.
Please be advised that we are currently undergoing referbishments at our Leylands main site and this is affecting our parking capacity towards the rear of the building. We are undergoing building for an extension at the rear of the building which will increase our clinical capacity once completed. Please be aware that when you plan to visit Leylands that parking may unfortunately be limited.

E-Consults will be available every day from 8am until 10am. E-Consults can be used for remote consultations, admin queries and to request Fit to Work notes.
Please be advised that we have limited capacity for eConsult requests. Once this daily limit has been reached, the eConsult request will be unavailable until the next working day.
